Our Story

Helping families navigate the 11+ with clarity, calm and confidence.

Jedon is named after my two boys-the reason this journey began. Every tool, every insight, every framework is built with them in mind, and with every family who reminds me of us.

The Journey To Jedon

"Early 2016, I sat at a dinner party, overhearing a friend talk about preparing her daughter for something called 'the 11+.' I didn't think much of it-until months later, when I realised my son would need to take it too. And I had no idea where to start."

I was an immigrant, a first-time mum, navigating the UK school system from zero. No teaching background. No special knowledge. Just a fierce determination to help my child.

So I became his tutor.

For months, I poured everything into preparing him. But here's the brutal truth: I was preparing him for the wrong exam. I wasted money on resources we never used. My frustration pushed his confidence further away. And the cruelest part? He was doing well at school-so I couldn't understand why he couldn't replicate that at home.

The Turning Point

A mock exam broke me. His below-average score felt like a judgement-not on him, but on me as a parent. In that moment, my greatest fear crystallised:

Was my love accidentally steering him toward failure?

I felt like a failure.

But that crisis forced a breakthrough. I realised success wasn't about more drilling. It went far beyond exam papers - it was about drilling down to the root cause. Core skills - academic and emotional. The right environment. Stamina. Attention. And stress - because a stressed parent produces nothing, just as an anxious child retains nothing. But a child who feels safe? They learn everything.

Night after night, I learned alongside him. We celebrated small wins and worked through every setback. Together, we discovered what truly worked: building his inner toolkit first: Confidence. Grit. Resilience. Calm.

Reflective

Analyzing progress and personal growth to refine the learning path.

Rested

Ensuring clarity and focus by prioritizing mental and physical well-being.

"Today, that framework is called the Jedon Framework, built on the 5 Rs of Readiness. These aren't just exam skills. They're life skills-the foundation of confidence and calm that will serve your child long after the 11+ is over."

What Drives Us

Our vision, mission and belief

Everything Jedon does is rooted in three simple but powerful convictions about what the 11+ journey should look like for every family.

Our Vision

Redefining the 11+ journey

To redefine the 11+ from a gatekeeping, stress-driven exam into a shared journey of growth - where every child builds confidence and lifelong skills, and every parent feels empowered to guide them, deepening the bond that matters most.

Our Mission

A parent guiding parents

I'm not a business teaching your child. I'm a parent who's been exactly where you are, guiding you through the whole family's journey with proven frameworks, practical tools, and emotional support.

Our Core Belief

Family first, always

The 11+ journey should strengthen your family, not strain it. With over 80 hours a week children spend at home, parents hold a unique and powerful role in shaping their child's future.

“Education starts at home, and parents are their children's first and most impactful teacher.”
